In most fixed-limit games the size of the Big Blind is used for the first two rounds of betting. The player to the left of the Small Blind must post the Big Blind, typically double the size of the Small Blind. The player to the left of the dealer, or dealer button, must post the Small Blind. These two blinds, the Small and Big Blind, are forced bets used to encourage action. The majority of Texas Hold’em games use a two-blind structure.
Each player will then be dealt two cards after which the first found of betting commences.
